Psalms 92

American Standard-ASV1901 (ASV)

1 Ref It is a good thing to give thanks unto Jehovah, And to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High;

2 Ref To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night,

3 Ref With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; With a solemn sound upon the harp.

4 Ref For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

5 Ref How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep.

6 Ref A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

7 Ref When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

8 Ref But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

9 Ref For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, thine enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 Ref But my horn hast thou exalted like `the horn of' the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 Ref Mine eye also hath seen `my desire' on mine enemies, Mine ears have heard `my desire' of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

12 Ref The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Ref They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 Ref They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:

15 Ref To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

4 Ref For you, O Lord, have made me glad through your work; I will have joy in the works of your hands.

5 Ref O Lord, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep.

6 Ref A man without sense has no knowledge of this; and a foolish man may not take it in.

7 Ref When the sinners come up like the grass, and all the workers of evil do well for themselves, it is so that their end may be eternal destruction.

8 Ref But you, O Lord, are on high for ever.

9 Ref For see! your haters, O Lord, will be put to death; all the workers of evil will be put to flight;

10 Ref But my horn is lifted up like the horn of the ox: the best oil is flowing on my head.

11 Ref My eyes have seen trouble come on my haters; my ears have news of the fate of the evil-doers who have come up against me.

12 Ref The good man will be like a tall tree in his strength; his growth will be as the wide-stretching trees of Lebanon.

13 Ref Those who are planted in the house of the Lord will come up tall and strong in his gardens.

14 Ref They will give fruit even when they are old; they will be fertile and full of growth;

15 Ref For a sign that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, there is no deceit in him.
