^{3 Ref} And the devil said unto him, if thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.

^{4 Ref} And Jesus answered unto him, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone.

^{5 Ref} And he led him up, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

^{3 Ref} The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."

^{4 Ref} Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"

^{5 Ref} The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

^{3 Ref} and the Devil said to him, `If Son thou art of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.'

^{4 Ref} And Jesus answered him, saying, `It hath been written, that, not on bread only shall man live, but on every saying of God.'
