38 Ref And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, and `many' weeping and wailing greatly.
39 Ref And when he was entered in, he saith unto them, Why make ye a tumult, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 Ref And they laughed him to scorn. But he, having put them all forth, taketh the father of the child and her mother and them that were with him, and goeth in where the child was.
41 Ref And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.
42 Ref And straightway the damsel rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed straightway with a great amazement.
43 Ref And he charged them much that no man should know this: and he commanded that `something' should be given her to eat.

38 Ref and he cometh to the house of the chief of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, much weeping and wailing;
39 Ref and having gone in he saith to them, `Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but doth sleep;
40 Ref and they were laughing at him. And he, having put all forth, doth take the father of the child, and the mother, and those with him, and goeth in where the child is lying,
41 Ref and, having taken the hand of the child, he saith to her, `Talitha cumi;' which is, being interpreted, `Damsel (I say to thee), arise.'
42 Ref And immediately the damsel arose, and was walking, for she was twelve years `old'; and they were amazed with a great amazement,
43 Ref and he charged them much, that no one may know this thing, and he said that there be given to her to eat.
