Matthew 19
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
23 Ref And Jesus said to his disciples, Truly I say to you, It is hard for a man with much money to go into the kingdom of heaven.
24 Ref And again I say to you, It is simpler for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a man with much money to go into the kingdom of God.
25 Ref And the disciples, hearing this, were greatly surprised, saying, Who then may have salvation?
26 Ref And Jesus, looking at them, said, With men this is not possible; but with God all things are possible.
27 Ref Then Peter said to him, See, we have given up everything and have come after you; what then will we have?
King James Version (KJV)
23 Ref Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 Ref And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 Ref When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 Ref But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 Ref Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
