^{22 Ref} Now all this took place so that the word of the Lord by the prophet might come true,

^{23 Ref} See, the virgin will be with child, and will give birth to a son, and they will give him the name Immanuel, that is, God with us.

^{24 Ref} And Joseph did as the angel of the Lord had said to him, and took her as his wife;

^{22 Ref} Now all this has happened, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

^{23 Ref} "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, And shall bring forth a son. They shall call his name Immanuel;" Which is, being interpreted, "God with us."

^{24 Ref} Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
