¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

⁸ But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

¹ Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; For his loving kindness endures forever.

¹⁵ But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, Slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

⁹ We have thought about your loving kindness, God, In the midst of your temple.

⁴ Since you have been precious in my sight, [and] honorable, and I have loved you; therefore will I give men in your place, and peoples instead of your life.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

³ Yahweh appeared of old to me, [saying], Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

¹⁷ I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

⁸ He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

⁹ By this was God's love revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

¹⁰ Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

¹ Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.

⁴ Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,

¹⁷ Yahweh, your God, is in the midst of you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.

⁹ By this was God's love revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice{"atoning sacrifice" is from the Greek "hilasmos," an appeasing, propitiating, or the means of appeasement or propitiation-- the sacrifice that turns away God's wrath because of our sin.} for our sins.

¹¹ Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.

¹² No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.

³ Because your loving kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise you.

⁷ Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.

⁸ Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines.

⁹ He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,

⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

⁶ and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

¹⁶ We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁵ May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

¹⁹ We love Him, because he first loved us.

⁸ Yahweh is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
