33 Ref And they said to him, The disciples of John frequently go without food, and make prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees; but your disciples take food and drink.
34 Ref And Jesus said, Are you able to make the friends of the newly-married man go without food when he is with them?
35 Ref But the days will come when he will be taken away from them, and then they will go without food.
36 Ref And he said to them, in a story, No man takes a bit of cloth from a new coat and puts it on to an old coat, for so the new coat would be damaged and the bit from the new would not go well with the old.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
33 Ref And they said unto him, `Wherefore do the disciples of John fast often, and make supplications -- in like manner also those of the Pharisees -- but thine do eat and drink?'
34 Ref And he said unto them, `Are ye able to make the sons of the bride-chamber -- in the bridegroom being with them -- to fast?
35 Ref but days will come, and, when the bridegroom may be taken away from them, then they shall fast in those days.'
36 Ref And he spake also a simile unto them -- `No one a patch of new clothing doth put on old clothing, and if otherwise, the new also doth make a rent, and with the old the patch doth not agree, that `is' from the new.
