⁸¹ <CAPH> My soul is wasted with desire for your salvation: but I have hope in your word.

² The passion of my soul's desire is for the house of the Lord; my heart and my flesh are crying out for the living God.

¹⁵ I have knowledge of your works, that you are not cold or warm: it would be better if you were cold or warm.

¹⁶ So because you are not one thing or the other, I will have no more to do with you.

⁸ I say to you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you see my loved one, what will you say to him? That I am overcome with love.

¹¹⁴ You are my secret place and my breastplate against danger; my hope is in your word.

⁷⁷ Let your gentle mercies come to me, so that I may have life; for your law is my delight.

⁷⁴ Your worshippers will see me and be glad; because my hope has been in your word.

⁴² So that I may have an answer for the man who would put me to shame; for I have faith in your word.

⁴⁰ See how great is my desire for your orders: give me life in your righteousness.

²⁰ My soul is broken with desire for your decisions at all times.

²⁶ My flesh and my heart are wasting away: but God is the Rock of my heart and my eternal heritage.

² My soul is dry for need of God, the living God; when may I come and see the face of God?
