²⁰ Praise be to God who has not taken away his good faith and his mercy from me.

¹⁴ I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son: if he does wrong, I will give him punishment with the rod of men and with the blows of the children of men;

¹⁵ But my mercy will not be taken away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.

²⁴ For he has not been unmoved by the pain of him who is troubled; or kept his face covered from him; but he has given an answer to his cry.

¹¹ Do not put me away from before you, or take your holy spirit from me.

³⁵ O God, you are to be feared in your holy place: the God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God.

¹² I will give you praise, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will give glory to your name for ever.

¹³ For your mercy to me is great; you have taken my soul up from the deep places of the underworld.
