³⁴ And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁷ But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

²⁵ Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

¹⁰ And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.

¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

³¹ Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

⁷ And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:

³ But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
