^{11 Ref} Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.

^{12 Ref} I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.

^{13 Ref} I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

^{14 Ref} However you did well that you shared in my affliction.

^{11 Ref} But I will not say anything about my needs, for I am able, wherever I am, to be dependent on myself.

^{12 Ref} It is the same to me if I am looked down on or honoured; everywhere and in all things I have the secret of how to be full and how to go without food; how to have wealth and how to be in need.

^{13 Ref} I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength.

^{14 Ref} But you did well to have care for me in my need.
