² Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. But we know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.

¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

¹² For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.

⁴ When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

¹⁸ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.

⁴ by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.

²¹ who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.

²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}

¹⁵ As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.

²⁴ Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

¹ Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.

²⁸ so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.

⁴ They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.

¹⁵ For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is a Chaldee word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!"

²⁸ Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

⁴⁹ As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let's{NU, TR read "we will" instead of "let's"} also bear the image of the heavenly.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

²⁶ After my skin is destroyed, Then in my flesh shall I see God,

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

⁶ And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba,{Abba is a Greek spelling for the Chaldee word for "Father" or "Daddy" used in a familiar, respectful, and loving way.} Father!"

²⁶ For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

⁶ Being therefore always of good courage, and knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;

⁷ for we walk by faith, not by sight.

⁸ We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

⁹ But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, Which didn't enter into the heart of man, These God has prepared for those who love him."

¹⁹ Oh how great is your goodness, Which you have laid up for those who fear you, Which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, Before the sons of men!

² "But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like launderer's soap;

¹ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the father also loves the child who is born of him.

¹¹ You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

⁵ To them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
