¹⁴ He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak; and he said to him, Are you the man of God who came from Judah? He said, I am.

⁴ But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, It is enough; now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

⁶ Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour{noon}.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.

¹¹ Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.

¹² We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.

²⁷ in labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, and in cold and nakedness.

¹² I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
