⁶ Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

¹⁰ They cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

⁴¹ If I whet my glittering sword, My hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my adversaries, Will recompense those who hate me.

⁴² I will make my arrows drunk with blood, My sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.

⁴³ Rejoice, you nations, [with] his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, Will render vengeance to his adversaries, Will make expiation for his land, for his people.

² for true and righteous are his judgments. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand."

²⁴ In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on the earth."

²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints, apostles, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her."

⁵ I heard the angel of the waters saying, "You are righteous, who are and who were, you Holy One, because you have judged these things.

⁶ For they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this."

⁴ Who wouldn't fear you, Lord, And glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed."

¹⁸ The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints, and those who fear your name, to the small and the great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

²⁵ But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.

⁸ For thus says Yahweh of hosts: 'For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.

²⁶ I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

²⁰ Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, Which brings about mischief by statute?

²¹ They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.

²² But Yahweh has been my high tower, My God, the rock of my refuge.

²³ He has brought on them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness. Yahweh, our God, will cut them off.

¹⁰ Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Let it be known among the nations, before our eyes, That vengeance for your servants' blood is being poured out.

¹¹ Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death;

¹² Pay back to our neighbors seven times into their bosom Their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.

²² Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.

²³ Don't forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.

²² But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.
