¹⁷ You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy you against them,

² Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say you to those who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear you the word of Yahweh:

²⁰ But I have this against you, that you tolerate your{TR, NU read "that" instead of "your"} woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

¹⁴ So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter); and they talked with her.

⁴ Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

³⁶ There was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity,

¹ But there also arose false prophets among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

² Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and drop [your word] toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel;

⁴⁶ Son of man, set your face toward the south, and drop [your word] toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South;

³ Take for yourself an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

⁴ when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.

¹⁶ Moreover Yahweh said, "Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, Walking to trip as they go, Jingling ornaments on their feet;

¹⁷ Therefore the Lord brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, And Yahweh will make their scalps bald."

¹⁸ In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces,

¹⁹ the earrings, the bracelets, the veils,

²⁰ the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume bottles, the charms,

²¹ the signet rings, the nose rings,

²² the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses,

²³ the hand-mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.

²⁴ It shall happen that instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; Instead of a belt, a rope; Instead of well set hair, baldness; Instead of a robe, a girding of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.

²⁵ Your men shall fall by the sword, And your mighty in the war.

²⁶ Her gates shall lament and mourn; And she shall be desolate and sit on the ground.
