³⁵ She said to her father, "Don't let my lord be angry that I can't rise up before you; for the manner of women is on me." He searched, but didn't find the teraphim.

³² You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

¹² "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

³ "'Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Yahweh your God.

¹¹ Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age. It had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

¹² Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

¹⁹ "'If a woman has a discharge, and her discharge in her flesh is blood, she shall be in her impurity seven days: and whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.

¹⁹ Bathsheba therefore went to king Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. The king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a throne to be set for the king's mother; and she sat on his right hand.

¹ Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

¹⁸ Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.

⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.
