⁴ But when Jesus heard it, he said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God's Son may be glorified by it."

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, "Didn't I tell you that if you believed, you would see God's glory?"

³ Jesus answered, "Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him.

³¹ When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

³² If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him immediately.

⁵ Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

²³ that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn't honor the Son doesn't honor the Father who sent him.

¹¹ This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

³⁹ When he had entered in, he said to them, "Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep."

⁴⁰ They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child and her mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, "Talitha cumi;" which means, being interpreted, "Girl, I tell you, get up."

⁴² Immediately the girl rose up, and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.

¹⁴ If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

¹¹ If any man speaks, let it be as it were oracles of God. If any man serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

²¹ who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.

²⁴ So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, "Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner."
