²¹ "If he is poor, and can't afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

⁸ If she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.'"

⁷ "'If he can't afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn't God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

⁶ But you have dishonored the poor man. Don't the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts?

¹² For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don't have.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

² He saw a certain poor widow casting in two small brass coins.{literally, "two lepta." 2 lepta was about 1% of a day's wages for an agricultural laborer.}

³ He said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them,

⁴ for all these put in gifts for God from their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, put in all that she had to live on."

²⁰ He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, "Blessed are you who are poor, For yours is the Kingdom of God.

² The rich and the poor have this in common: Yahweh is the maker of them all.

⁵ Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker. He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished.

¹⁹ Who doesn't respect the persons of princes, Nor regards the rich more than the poor; For they all are the work of his hands.

⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, Inherit the throne of glory: For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh's, He has set the world on them.

²² and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

¹¹ "'But if he can't afford two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he shall bring his offering for that in which he has sinned, the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

¹⁴ "'If his offering to Yahweh is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.
