¹⁷ The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"

¹⁷ These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;

¹ He called the twelve{TR reads "his twelve disciples" instead of "the twelve"} together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.

¹ Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him{literally, "before his face"} into every city and place, where he was about to come.

⁹ Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, 'The Kingdom of God has come near to you.'

²⁰ And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
