²⁷ If one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin-offering.

²⁷ "'If anyone of the common people sins unwittingly, in doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, and is guilty;

²⁸ if his sin, which he has sinned, is made known to him, then he shall bring for his offering a goat, a female without blemish, for his sin which he has sinned.

¹⁷ "Now, brothers{The word for "brothers" here may be also correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

³⁰ The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

¹³ although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
