³¹ That was credited to him for righteousness, For all generations to come.

¹¹ Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I didn't consume the children of Israel in my jealousy.

¹² Therefore say, Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace:

¹³ and it shall be to him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.

⁶ He believed in Yahweh; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.

¹³ you shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.

³ While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard-- very costly. She broke the jar, and poured it over his head.

⁴ But there were some who were indignant among themselves, saying, "Why has this ointment been wasted?

⁵ For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii,{300 denarii was about a years wages for an agricultural laborer.} and given to the poor." They grumbled against her.

⁶ But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.

⁷ For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.

⁸ She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.

⁹ Most assuredly I tell you, wherever this Gospel may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her."
