²⁶ Oh give thanks to the God of heaven; For his loving kindness endures forever.

⁴ It happened, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,

³ But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.

¹ > To you I do lift up my eyes, You who sit in the heavens.

¹ Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; For his loving kindness endures forever.

² Give thanks to the God of gods; For his loving kindness endures forever.

³ Give thanks to the Lord of lords; For his loving kindness endures forever:

⁹ He said to them, "I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land."

¹³ In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
