²⁰ Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.

⁸ Keep me as the apple of your eye; Hide me under the shadow of your wings,

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog.

²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth; Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen you have answered me.

¹ In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Never let me be disappointed.

² Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me. Turn your ear to me, and save me.

² Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You, my God, save your servant who trusts in you.

⁷ Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.

²⁶ You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, And will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And my people will never again be disappointed.

²⁷ You will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am Yahweh, your God, and there is no one else; And my people will never again be disappointed.

⁴⁶ Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" Having said this, he breathed his last.
