Cross reference

Psalms 38:1

1 > Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your wrath, Neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.

Psalms 6:1

1 > Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, Neither discipline me in your wrath.

Hebrews 12:5-11

5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, don't take lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved by him;

6 For whom the Lord loves, he chastens, And scourges every son whom he receives."

7 It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline?

8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate, and not children.

9 Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.

11 All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby.

Isaiah 54:8

8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you, says Yahweh your Redeemer.

Psalms 70:1

1 > Hurry, God, to deliver me. Come quickly to help me, Yahweh.

Habakkuk 3:2

2 Yahweh, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, Yahweh. Renew your work in the midst of the years. In the midst of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.

Jeremiah 30:11

11 For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

Jeremiah 10:24

24 Yahweh, correct me, but in measure: not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.

Isaiah 27:8

8 In measure, when you send them away, you do contend with them; he has removed [them] with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.

Psalms 88:15-16

15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.

16 Your fierce wrath has gone over me. Your terrors have cut me off.

Psalms 88:7

7 Your wrath lies heavily on me. You have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah.

Deuteronomy 9:19

19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, with which Yahweh was angry against you to destroy you. But Yahweh listened to me that time also.
