¹⁰ Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹⁴ Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.

³ The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.

¹⁶ Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness shall abide in the fruitful field.

¹⁷ The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

¹⁸ My people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.

³ Don't let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

⁵ For Yahweh is good. His loving kindness endures forever, His faithfulness to all generations.

⁶ Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, "Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

⁷ keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children's children, on the third and on the fourth generation."

⁵⁴ He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,

⁵⁵ As he spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his seed forever."

²⁴ Only in Yahweh, it is said of me, is righteousness and strength; even to him shall men come; and all those who were incensed against him shall be disappointed.

² to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace;

²¹ that as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

²⁵ whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice{or, a propitiation}, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God's forbearance;

²⁶ to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ "Glory to God in the highest, On earth peace, good will toward men."

²⁰ You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, As you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.
