¹³ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

¹⁷ comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.

¹² rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;

⁸ whom not having known you love; in whom, though now you don't see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy unspeakable and full of glory--

¹¹ We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,

⁴ My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

⁴ and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:

⁵ and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and Christ Jesus our hope;

⁵ and that our Gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

¹⁸ Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

¹⁹ speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and singing praises in your heart to the Lord;

² Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

⁵ Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus,

²⁷ Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

¹ "Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.

¹⁶ Yahweh will roar from Zion, And thunder from Jerusalem; And the heavens and the earth will shake; But Yahweh will be a refuge to his people, And a stronghold to the children of Israel.

⁸ You hope of Israel, the Savior of it in the time of trouble, why should you be as a foreigner in the land, and as a wayfaring man who turns aside to stay for a night?

¹² For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.
