⁸ Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil, that good may come?" Those who say so are justly condemned.

¹ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

¹⁵ What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!

¹¹ "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

²⁰ The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly;

⁷ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn't have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn't have known coveting, unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

¹⁶ having a good conscience; that, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good manner of life in Christ.

¹⁷ For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil.

⁴ For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
