7 For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind.
8 Ref But the tongue can no man tame; `it is' a restless evil, `it is' full of deadly poison.
9 Ref Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God:
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
7 For every sort of beast and bird and every living thing on earth and in the sea has been controlled by man and is under his authority;
8 Ref But the tongue may not be controlled by man; it is an unresting evil, it is full of the poison of death.
9 Ref With it we give praise to our Lord and Father; and with it we put a curse on men who are made in God's image.
