Psalms 91
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Ref He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually,
2 Ref He is saying of Jehovah, `My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,'
3 Ref For He delivereth thee from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
4 Ref With His pinion He covereth thee over, And under His wings thou dost trust, A shield and buckler `is' His truth.
5 Ref Thou art not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flieth by day,
6 Ref Of pestilence in thick darkness that walketh, Of destruction that destroyeth at noon,
7 Ref There fall at thy side a thousand, And a myriad at thy right hand, Unto thee it cometh not nigh.
8 Ref But with thine eyes thou lookest, And the reward of the wicked thou seest,
9 Ref (For Thou, O Jehovah, `art' my refuge,) The Most High thou madest thy habitation.
10 Ref Evil happeneth not unto thee, And a plague cometh not near thy tent,
11 Ref For His messengers He chargeth for thee, To keep thee in all thy ways,
12 Ref On the hands they bear thee up, Lest thou smite against a stone thy foot.
13 Ref On lion and asp thou treadest, Thou trampest young lion and dragon.
14 Ref Because in Me he hath delighted, I also deliver him -- I set him on high, Because he hath known My name.
15 Ref He doth call Me, and I answer him, I `am' with him in distress, I deliver him, and honour him.
16 Ref With length of days I satisfy him, And I cause him to look on My salvation!

1 Ref He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 Ref I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.
3 Ref For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
4 Ref He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.
5 Ref Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Ref For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 Ref A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; `But' it shall not come nigh thee.

11 Ref For he will give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways.
12 Ref They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Ref Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under foot.
14 Ref Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 Ref He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.

1 Ref Happy is he whose resting-place is in the secret of the Lord, and under the shade of the wings of the Most High;
2 Ref Who says of the Lord, He is my safe place and my tower of strength: he is my God, in whom is my hope.
3 Ref He will take you out of the bird-net, and keep you safe from wasting disease.
4 Ref You will be covered by his feathers; under his wings you will be safe: his good faith will be your salvation.
5 Ref You will have no fear of the evil things of the night, or of the arrow in flight by day,
6 Ref Or of the disease which takes men in the dark, or of the destruction which makes waste when the sun is high.
7 Ref You will see a thousand falling by your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
8 Ref Only with your eyes will you see the reward of the evil-doers.
9 Ref Because you have said, I am in the hands of the Lord, the Most High is my safe resting-place;
10 Ref No evil will come on you, and no disease will come near your tent.
11 Ref For he will give you into the care of his angels to keep you wherever you go.
12 Ref In their hands they will keep you up, so that your foot may not be crushed against a stone.
13 Ref You will put your foot on the lion and the snake; the young lion and the great snake will be crushed under your feet.
14 Ref Because he has given me his love, I will take him out of danger: I will put him in a place of honour, because he has kept my name in his heart.
15 Ref When his cry comes up to me, I will give him an answer: I will be with him in trouble; I will make him free from danger and give him honour.
16 Ref With long life will he be rewarded; and I will let him see my salvation.
