John 1
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
12 Ref but as many as did receive him to them he gave authority to become sons of God -- to those believing in his name,
13 Ref who -- not of blood nor of a will of flesh, nor of a will of man but -- of God were begotten.
14 Ref And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
12 Ref To all those who did so take him, however, he gave the right of becoming children of God--that is, to those who had faith in his name:
13 Ref Whose birth was from God and not from blood, or from an impulse of the flesh and man's desire.
14 Ref And so the Word became flesh and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory--such glory as is given to an only son by his father--saw it to be true and full of grace.
