1 Corinthians 6
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
15 Ref Have ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make `them' members of an harlot? let it be not!
16 Ref have ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be -- saith He -- the two for one flesh.'
17 Ref And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;
18 Ref flee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.
King James Version (KJV)
15 Ref Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 Ref What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 Ref But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Ref Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Bible in Basic English (BBE)
15 Ref Do you not see that your bodies are part of the body of Christ? how then may I take what is a part of the body of Christ and make it a part of the body of a loose woman? such a thing may not be.
16 Ref Or do you not see that he who is joined to a loose woman is one body with her? for God has said, The two of them will become one flesh.
17 Ref But he who is united to the Lord is one spirit.
18 Ref Keep away from the desires of the flesh. Every sin which a man does is outside of the body; but he who goes after the desires of the flesh does evil to his body.
