Jeremiah 17
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
9 Ref Crooked `is' the heart above all things, And it `is' incurable -- who doth know it?
10 Ref I Jehovah do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings.
11 Ref A partridge hatching, and not bringing forth, `Is' one making wealth, and not by right, In the midst of his days he doth forsake it, And in his latter end -- he is a fool.
King James Version (KJV)
9 Ref The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 Ref I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
11 Ref As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
