^{9 Ref} Crooked `is' the heart above all things, And it `is' incurable -- who doth know it?

^{10 Ref} I Jehovah do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings.

^{11 Ref} A partridge hatching, and not bringing forth, `Is' one making wealth, and not by right, In the midst of his days he doth forsake it, And in his latter end -- he is a fool.

^{9 Ref} The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

^{10 Ref} I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

^{11 Ref} As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
