^{1 Ref} A Psalm. -- A Song for the sabbath-day. Good to give thanks to Jehovah, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High,

^{2 Ref} To declare in the morning Thy kindness, And Thy faithfulness in the nights.

^{3 Ref} On ten strings and on psaltery, On higgaion, with harp.

^{4 Ref} For Thou hast caused me to rejoice, O Jehovah, in Thy work, Concerning the works of Thy hands I sing.

^{5 Ref} How great have been Thy works, O Jehovah, Very deep have been Thy thoughts.

^{6 Ref} A brutish man doth not know, And a fool understandeth not this; --

^{7 Ref} When the wicked flourish as a herb, And blossom do all workers of iniquity -- For their being destroyed for ever and ever!

^{8 Ref} And Thou `art' high to the age, O Jehovah.

^{9 Ref} For, lo, Thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, Thine enemies, do perish, Separate themselves do all workers of iniquity.

^{10 Ref} And Thou exaltest as a reem my horn, I have been anointed with fresh oil.

^{11 Ref} And mine eye looketh on mine enemies, Of those rising up against me, The evil doers, do mine ears hear.

^{12 Ref} The righteous as a palm-tree flourisheth, As a cedar in Lebanon he groweth.

^{13 Ref} Those planted in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of our God do flourish.

^{14 Ref} Still they bring forth in old age, Fat and flourishing are they,

^{15 Ref} To declare that upright `is' Jehovah my rock, And there is no perverseness in Him!

^{1 Ref} > It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, To sing praises to your name, Most High;

^{2 Ref} To proclaim your loving kindness in the morning, And your faithfulness every night,

^{3 Ref} With the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, And with the melody of the lyre.

^{4 Ref} For you, Yahweh, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.

^{5 Ref} How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep.

^{6 Ref} A senseless man doesn't know, Neither does a fool understand this:

^{7 Ref} Though the wicked spring up as the grass, And all the evil-doers flourish, They will be destroyed forever.

^{8 Ref} But you, Yahweh, are on high forevermore.

^{9 Ref} For, behold, your enemies, Yahweh, For, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evil-doers will be scattered.

^{10 Ref} But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.

^{11 Ref} My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.

^{12 Ref} The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

^{13 Ref} They are planted in Yahweh's house. They will flourish in our God's courts.

^{14 Ref} They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,

^{15 Ref} To show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, And there is no unrighteousness in him.
