¹⁷ If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

¹⁹ Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;

²⁰ for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

⁴ Her prophets are light and treacherous persons; her priests have profaned the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

¹² This is the law of the house: upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

³⁸ Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.

³⁹ For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

²² My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret `place'; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

¹¹ Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.

¹¹ Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish `thee'; neither shall mine eye spare, and I also will have no pity.

⁹ Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his holy hill; For Jehovah our God is holy. Psalm 100 A Psalm of thanksgiving.

⁵ Thy testimonies are very sure: Holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for evermore.

¹ O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

³ Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual ruins, All the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary.

³ Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of mine own of gold and silver, I give it unto the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

²⁰ But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of Jehovah: the water for impurity hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

³ I also will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

³¹ Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is in the midst of them.

⁵ And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

¹⁷ And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
