⁷ And Saul smote the Amalekites, from Havilah as thou goest to Shur, that is before Egypt.

⁷ And the angel of Jehovah found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

¹⁸ And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria. He abode over against all his brethren.

⁴⁸ And he did valiantly, and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of them that despoiled them.

⁸ And David and his men went up, and made a raid upon the Geshurites, and the Girzites, and the Amalekites; for those `nations' were the inhabitants of the land, who were of old, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.

¹¹ The name of the first is Pishon: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

²² And Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

³⁰ That the evil man is reserved to the day of calamity? That they are led forth to the day of wrath?

¹³ but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong `his' days, `which are' as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.
