¹² And Jonathan said unto David, Jehovah, the God of Israel, `be witness': when I have sounded my father about this time to-morrow, `or' the third day, behold, if there be good toward David, shall I not then send unto thee, and disclose it unto thee?

²² The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, the Mighty One, God, Jehovah, he knoweth; and Israel he shall know: if it be in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah (save thou us not this day,)

⁴ Doth not he see my ways, And number all my steps?

³ Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried me, and findest nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

¹ O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known `me'.

² Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off.

³ Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways.

⁴ For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.

⁵ Counsel in the heart of man is `like' deep water; But a man of understanding will draw it out.

² It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

³ As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.
