¹² And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof! And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

¹⁴ Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died: and Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over him, and said, My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof!

⁵¹ And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.

¹³ And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, `even' the Son of man, who is in heaven.

⁹ And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

² And devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.

²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must stand before Caesar: and lo, God hath granted thee all them that sail with thee.

² For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven:

⁴ For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.

⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.

¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in the cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

¹⁵ And it came to pass, when the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing that is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

¹⁹ So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

³⁰ He will deliver `even' him that is not innocent: Yea, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of thy hands.

¹¹ By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

⁴ Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in his garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

¹⁹ Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.

¹⁶ Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

¹⁷ The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.

¹⁸ Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good.

⁴ It may be Jehovah thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed unto Jehovah, saying,

²¹ Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,

¹ The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil `to come'.

² He entereth into peace; they rest in their beds, each one that walketh in his uprightness.

²⁰ Then Job arose, and rent his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped;

²¹ and he said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: Jehovah gave, and Jehovah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah.
