¹¹ And he said unto me, O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice between `the banks of' the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was affrighted, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man; for the vision belongeth to the time of the end.

¹ And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee.

¹⁶ But arise, and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared unto thee, to appoint thee a minister and a witness both of the things wherein thou hast seen me, and of the things wherein I will appear unto thee;

⁶ but rise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

²⁰ Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?

²³ There was at the table reclining in Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

⁸ And they went out, and fled from the tomb; for trembling and astonishment had come upon them: and they said nothing to any one; for they were afraid.

¹⁹ And he said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he spake unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

³ I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

²² And he instructed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee wisdom and understanding.

²³ At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment went forth, and I am come to tell thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision.

¹⁰ I am my beloved's; And his desire is toward me.

¹¹ So will the king desire thy beauty; For he is thy lord; and reverence thou him.

¹ Yea, at this my heart trembleth, And is moved out of its place.

¹⁴ Fear came upon me, and trembling, Which made all my bones to shake.

¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face; The hair of my flesh stood up.

¹⁶ It stood still, but I could not discern the appearance thereof; A form was before mine eyes: `There was' silence, and I heard a voice, `saying',
