¹³ Then Nebuchadnezzar in `his' rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.

¹⁹ Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: `therefore' he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

¹² For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

²⁴ But after certain days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁵ And there came one and told them, Behold, the men whom ye put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people.

²⁶ Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them, `but' without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.

²⁷ And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,

¹² But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.

¹¹ But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

⁹ But take ye heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in synagogues shall ye be beaten; and before governors and kings shall ye stand for my sake, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁸ yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

²² An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression.

³ A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; But a fool's vexation is heavier than they both.

¹² Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, Rather than a fool in his folly.

⁵ And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not down, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

⁶ But he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had made known to him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

³⁰ Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of a perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own shame, and unto the shame of thy mother's nakedness?

³¹ For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.

³² And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore should he be put to death? what hath he done?

³³ And Saul cast his spear at him to smite him; whereby Jonathan knew that is was determined of his father to put David to death.

⁵ but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
