¹ And Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.

¹ And now, O Israel, hearken unto the statutes and unto the ordinances, which I teach you, to do them; that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah, the God of your fathers, giveth you.

² Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.

³ Your eyes have seen what Jehovah did because of Baal-peor; for all the men that followed Baal-peor, Jehovah thy God hath destroyed them from the midst of thee.

³² And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.

¹⁶ This day Jehovah thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and ordinances: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.

²⁸ But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.

¹ Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk, --that ye abound more and more.

² For ye know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

¹⁰ For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one `point', he is become guilty of all.
