¹⁰ If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth any one of these things,

¹² He that smiteth a man, so that he dieth, shall surely be put to death.

⁵ And surely your blood, `the blood' of your lives, will I require; At the hand of every beast will I require it. And at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man.

⁶ Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: For in the image of God made he man.

² If the thief be found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dieth, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.

¹³ Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

³¹ Moreover ye shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer, that is guilty of death; but he shall surely be put to death.

⁸ Will a man rob God? yet ye rob me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

⁹ Ye are cursed with the curse; for ye rob me, even this whole nation.

⁴⁰ They cried out therefore again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.)

¹² not as Cain was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
