²⁵ And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart, their sons and their daughters,

²¹ Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.

² Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is mount Zion, `on' the sides of the north, The city of the great King.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.

²² therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine;

³² Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people; and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day: and there shall be nought in the power of thy hand.

¹ I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go unto the house of Jehovah.

² Our feet are standing Within thy gates, O Jerusalem,

³ Jerusalem, that art builded As a city that is compact together;

⁴ Whither the tribes go up, even the tribes of Jehovah, `For' an ordinance for Israel, To give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

⁵ For there are set thrones for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee.

⁷ Peace be within thy walls, And prosperity within thy palaces.

⁸ For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

⁹ For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good. Psalm 123 A Song of Ascents.

⁴ Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.
