¹⁸ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the first `month', in the first `day' of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish; and thou shalt cleanse the sanctuary.

¹⁶ and he shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleannesses of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins: and so shall he do for the tent of meeting, that dwelleth with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

²² And on the second day thou shalt offer a he-goat without blemish for a sin-offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.

²⁰ But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

³³ and he shall make atonement for the holy sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

²⁶ Seven days shall they make atonement for the altar and purify it; so shall they consecrate it.

¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, `even the blood' of Christ:

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

²⁰ by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

²¹ and `having' a great priest over the house of God;

²² let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,

³ But in those `sacrifices' there is a remembrance made of sins year by year.

⁴ For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

²² And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

²³ It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

²⁴ For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

²⁵ nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;

²⁶ For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

³³ But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

¹¹ And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt-offering unto Jehovah: two young bullocks, and one ram, seven he-lambs a year old without blemish;

¹² and three tenth parts `of an ephah' of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, for each bullock; and two tenth parts of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, for the one ram;

¹³ and a tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal-offering unto every lamb; for a burnt-offering of a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.

¹⁴ And their drink-offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bullock, and the third part of a hin for the ram, and the fourth part of a hin for a lamb: this is the burnt-offering of every month throughout the months of the year.

¹⁵ And one he-goat for a sin-offering unto Jehovah; it shall be offered besides the continual burnt-offering, and the drink-offering thereof.
