²⁴ And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.

² And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know anything of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed the young men to such and such a place.

²⁵ Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

⁷ But if the truth of God through my lie abounded unto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

⁸ and why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.

¹⁶ These are the things that ye shall do: speak ye every man the truth with his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates;

⁸ Remove far from me falsehood and lies; Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is needful for me:

²² Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah; But they that deal truly are his delight.

¹⁹ The lip of truth shall be established for ever; But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

⁵ For thine iniquity teacheth thy mouth, And thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.

⁷ Will ye speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him?

⁸ Will ye show partiality to him? Will ye contend for God?

⁵ And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, Of a truth I am a widow, and my husband is dead.
