³ to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

⁷ Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.

⁸ For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

²⁰ Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

⁷ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

⁹ But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for `God's' own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

¹¹ Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

⁵ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

⁸ Let thy garments be always white; and let not thy head lack oil.

⁵ And I said, Let them set a clean mitre upon his head. So they set a clean mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the angel of Jehovah was standing by.

¹⁶ Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

¹⁷ Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

¹⁸ A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

¹⁹ Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

²⁰ for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

¹⁵ And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, `And' oil to make his face to shine, And bread that strengtheneth man's heart.

¹⁵ And Mordecai went forth from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan shouted and was glad.

¹ Now when Mordecai knew all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

² and he came even before the king's gate: for none might enter within the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

³ And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

²² as the days wherein the Jews had rest from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to gladness, and from mourning into a good day; that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

¹³ They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God.

¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:

¹⁵ To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

¹ And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me.

²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

²¹ Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and `so' shall ye be my disciples.

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

¹⁰ when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.

¹⁴ If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed `are ye'; because the `Spirit' of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.

⁹ After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of `all' tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;

¹⁰ and they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation unto our God who sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb.

¹¹ And all the angels were standing round about the throne, and `about' the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

¹² saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, `be' unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, These that are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and whence came they?

¹⁴ And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
