¹³ With `God' is wisdom and might; He hath counsel and understanding.

⁴ `He is' wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?-

⁵ Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: He is mighty in strength of understanding.

¹⁴ Counsel is mine, and sound knowledge: I am understanding; I have might.

⁶ And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

²⁴ but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

⁸ which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

¹¹ in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;

³ in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.

⁵ But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

³⁴ For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

²⁰ Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; for wisdom and might are his.

²⁰ Whence then cometh wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?

²¹ Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, And kept close from the birds of the heavens.

²² Destruction and Death say, We have heard a rumor thereof with our ears.

²³ God understandeth the way thereof, And he knoweth the place thereof.

²⁴ For he looketh to the ends of the earth, And seeth under the whole heaven;

²⁵ To make a weight for the wind: Yea, he meteth out the waters by measure.

²⁶ When he made a decree for the rain, And a way for the lightning of the thunder;

²⁷ Then did he see it, and declare it; He established it, yea, and searched it out.

²⁸ And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

⁶ And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; Wherefore I held back, and durst not show you mine opinion.

⁷ I said, Days should speak, And multitude of years should teach wisdom.

⁸ But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

⁹ It is not the great that are wise, Nor the aged that understand justice.

³⁶ Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the mind?

⁵ Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

⁶ For Jehovah giveth wisdom; Out of his mouth `cometh' knowledge and understanding:

⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; `He is' a shield to them that walk in integrity;

¹³ Who hath directed the Spirit of Jehovah, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

¹⁴ With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not `yet' done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens:

¹⁶ With him is strength and wisdom; The deceived and the deceiver are his.
