⁷ Will ye speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him?

⁴ For truly my words are not false: One that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

⁷ Remember, I pray thee, who `ever' perished, being innocent? Or where were the upright cut off?

² Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?

³ Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

⁴ For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.

⁵ He that denounceth his friends for a prey, Even the eyes of his children shall fail.

⁴ Surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, Neither shall my tongue utter deceit.

²¹ Let me not, I pray you, respect any man's person; Neither will I give flattering titles unto any man.

²² For I know not to give flattering titles; `Else' would my Maker soon take me away.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.

⁵ But if our righteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath? (I speak after the manner of men.)

⁶ God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

⁷ But if the truth of God through my lie abounded unto his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

⁸ and why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.

² but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
