²² He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, And he is waited for of the sword.

³³ And while he was yet talking with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of Jehovah; why should I wait for Jehovah any longer?

¹¹ What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is mine end, that I should be patient?

¹⁶ If I had called, and he had answered me, Yet would I not believe that he hearkened unto my voice.

²⁹ Be ye afraid of the sword: For wrath `bringeth' the punishments of the sword, That ye may know there is a judgment.

²⁴ He shall flee from the iron weapon, And the bow of brass shall strike him through.

²⁵ He draweth it forth, and it cometh out of his body; Yea, the glittering point cometh out of his gall: Terrors are upon him.

¹⁴ If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

²¹ And they shall pass through it, sore distressed and hungry; and it shall come to pass that, when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse by their king and by their God, and turn their faces upward:

²² and they shall look unto the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and into thick darkness `they shall be' driven away.

⁵ And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.
