⁴ And be it indeed that I have erred, Mine error remaineth with myself.

¹² If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.

¹⁷ And David spake unto Jehovah when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done perversely; but these sheep, what have they done? let thy hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.

³ Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

⁴ For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.

⁵ But oh that God would speak, And open his lips against thee,

⁶ And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

⁴ Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

¹⁰ For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things `done' in the body, according to what he hath done, whether `it be' good or bad.

⁵ For each man shall bear his own burden.
