⁹ He incloseth the face of his throne, And spreadeth his cloud upon it.

² Clouds and darkness are round about him: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

²¹ And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

²⁰ And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for man shall not see me and live.

²¹ and Jehovah said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock:

²² and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand until I have passed by:

²³ and I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back; but my face shall not be seen.

³ And no man shall come up with thee; neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

¹² Then spake Solomon, Jehovah hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not; And he walketh on the vault of heaven.

³ God came from Teman, And the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of his praise.

⁴ And `his' brightness was as the light; He had rays `coming forth' from his hand; And there was the hiding of his power.

⁵ Before him went the pestilence, And fiery bolts went forth at his feet.

¹⁶ who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom `be' honor and power eternal. Amen.
